Self-Initiated Project

Overview

The app is designed for bachelor and college students living away from home who crave the taste of homemade meals. It allows users to connect with registered home cooks in their area and order home-cooked meals. These meals are prepared by house cooks, who use traditional recipes and ingredients, and are delivered directly to the user's doorstep.

Problem

The problem that the app aims to solve is the lack of access to home-cooked meals for bachelor and college students living away from home. These individuals may have busy schedules and limited cooking skills, making it difficult for them to prepare homemade meals on their own. As a result, they may resort to eating fast food or processed meals, which can have negative impacts on their health and well-being.

Solution

By using the app, bachelor, and college students can enjoy the taste of home-cooked meals while living away from home, without the need for extensive cooking skills and time-consuming meal preparation. 

No more visiting restaurants in search of a meal that tastes like it was prepared at home; instead,
eat the meals prepared at home itself.

App Featurs
  • The user must input his location, and then, using the GPS position, the app will display the possible homes that might serve you meals.

  • You can select one of the houses' meals that you want.

  •  You can pay a monthly membership for that house. You can also order on a day or per-week basis. 

  • The app will also display the house's weekly menu.

  • Bold Typography -The bold weight of the font conveys confidence and high-quality food.

  • Soft Curves & Friendly Personality - The rounded, curved letterforms add a sense of approachability and friendliness. This creates an inviting visual tone that evokes comfort, warmth, and relaxation.

  • Plate Motif Inside the ‘O’ - The central shape within the ‘O’ represents a food plate from a top view. This subtle visual cue reinforces the brand’s core purpose—homemade meals delivered fresh without being overly literal.

  • Bite Marks on ‘G’ and ‘O’ - The bite details on the ‘g’ and ‘o’ add a playful, irresistible quality. They symbolize food so delicious that you “can’t resist taking a bite,” making the logo fun, memorable, and appetite-driven.

  • Appetite-Stimulating Color Palette - The use of red and yellow leverages well-known food psychology. These colors naturally trigger hunger, energy, and attention, making the brand feel vibrant, inviting, and mouth-watering.
